Interior Lock Jamb Leg (Stain Grade Poplar)

Lock prepped (mortised) jamb leg for interior doors. Stain grade poplar can be stained or painted to match your desired look. Solid poplar in double rabbeted construction means the stop is built into the jamb (rather than applied separately), providing unparalleled durability, stability, and ease of installation.

Key Specifications:

• Designed for interior doors 1 3/8″ thick
• Length: Select 81 3/4″, 85 3/4″, or 97 3/4″
  
  • 81.75″ long jamb fits up to an 80.0″ (6/8) door, 85.75″ fits 84.0″ (7/0) door,  and 97.75″ fits (8/0) door
  • Length fits standard height 80.0″, 84″, or 96.0″ interior doors while still leaving clearance for carpet, can also be easily trimmed shorter off bottom as needed (we recommend purchasing blank jambs and routing out for custom lock prep if you are shortening by more than 1-2″)
• Depth: Select 4 9/16″ or 6 9/16″
  
  • 4 9/16″ are standard depth jambs for use with typical (2×4) construction
  • 6 9/16″ are extended depth jambs for use with (2×6) construction
• Thickness: 1 1/8″ including stop, 11/16″ thick not including stop

Handing & Prep:

• Select Right or Left Handing:
• Hinge or lock prep jambs: Stand in the room that the door swings into – if the door handle is on the right hand side or the door you need a right hand lock or hinge jamb.
• Lock (also known as strike) prep specifications:
• See drawings – Standard lock prep matches door slabs with center of the lock bore hole 36″ from the bottom edge of the door
