Outswing Bumper Threshold

High quality threshold in aluminum mill finish. Perfect for replacing or upgrading an existing threshold that has rotted, cracked, or deteriorated. Straightforward installation does not require removing jambs or door.

Note that this is a BUMPER style threshold, where the face of the outswing door closes against the weatherstripping installed into the threshold. Bumper style thresholds are common on outswing patio doors.

Specifications:

• Available in 32″, 36″, and 72.5″ widths:
• 32″ threshold fits a 31.75″ wide door slab (standard “2/8” or “32 inch” door size)
• 36″ threshold fits a 35.75″ wide door slab (standard “3/0”  or “36 inch” door size)
• 72.5″ threshold fits double (two) 35.75″ doors with a standard .75″ thick astragal between the doors 
• Notched to fit into standard 4 9/16″ jambs
• 5.8125″ in depth (typically known as a standard 6″ threshold)
• 1.5625″ Tall with 1/8″ weatherstrip kerf (included)
• Hardwood rail (ash or oak), composite base to resist rot, high grade aluminum sill
• For residential entry doors with 4 9/16″ standard width jambs (typically used with 2×4 framing)
• Fits outswing doors (door swings out of the home)
